Okay, I MIGHT have been a bit out-of-it last night, but I decided to LOOK INTO IT today and yeah, HOLD THE PHONE GUYS, I AM SERIOUS HERE

OKAY: SRS bzns scene, Arthur is woken out of his trance by Uther.




Uther asks Arthur what the Low Down is on the quest deal, and reminds him that it has to be (and I am paraphrasing here) PRETTY FUCKING EPIC




Arthur says, "yeah, life or death, got it covered"





Merlin is very concerned by this




Uther reminds Arthur that you had better return with your shield or on it with the Trident or die trying, and NO you can't have help like you usually do at Chuck-E-Cheese where you get your friends to hold their hands over the holes while you rack up tickets on that gopher game. PLEASE NOTE MERLIN SHOWING UP IN THE BACKGROUND AND HIS LOCATION. WHY?...




BECAUSE ARTHUR THEN LOOKS DIRECTLY FUCKING AT HIM.   ......



HE DOES NOT WANT TO GO TO FACE LIFE OR DEATH WITHOUT HIS MERLIN.

ETA:lightstarangel  reminded me that Arthur totally says "I do" right when he looks at Merlin. So they are, like, MARRIED in front of Uther or something. IDEK I can't make this stuff up.

I watched this ep this morning and I really seriously loved like every fucking minute of it. It's like, I loved both story lines and Gwen is finally on the fucking ball. And then it was kind of like...I hope they aren't going to force Gwaine too hard and make him the save the day person rather than Arthur or Merlin or whomever and they didn't because I love Gwaine so much I was like I love this guy and want to have his babies.

I'm pretty sure this ep will go down as one of the best...because not only did we get some good storyline (and I loved the side-plot of Gwen investigating and figuring things out) but it was like a glimpse of the future with Arthur going on quests with Merlin and the knights.

It's hard not to love Gwaine (or G.love as I am now calling him, because nobody can decide how to spell his name) and I don't think they pushed the Merlin/G ship in as much as demonstrated that the guy is really sort of lonely and tired of living his roaming life. He just wants a friend!!
