I kayak locally and not-so-locally. My biggest trip was up in Maine, paddling throughout Sheepscott Bay. I've done a good amount on Cape Cod and a couple of trips in Boston Harbor. For a quick fix I can always hit the Charles River, although I rather prefer the ocean to quiet rivers (wave action is fun).

I would love to kayak in Alaska- I went there in the summer of 2008 but we couldn't fit it into our schedule (too much hiking!). We did see salmon in the late stages of their return run up the rivers there. So many fish!

I was a little late on the Merlin-wagon (stumbled across it on Hulu late this summer) but I got here eventually, it was a slightly irresistible.
