Well it's always fun when you can invent a geologic history of a given region. Plate boundaries are great go-to explanations for difficult areas.

Don't forget the uses of accreted terrane! Those save you from having to deal with plate boundary issues while explaining what might appear to be somewhat random geologic features.

Do you think the strike ridges are something like uplifted coastal plane sediments or are they products of an eroded structure?
