:) Thanks! Dressage is one of the three equestrian sports at the Summer Olympics. It basically entails training horses to perform to their maximum athletic ability; the horses learn to respond to the rider's cues in a very specific way. The sport itself involves riding in certain patterns, with the length, level of difficulty of the pattern and "moves" involved increasing as the horse & rider progress in the sport.

Olympic dressage is at the Grand Prix level. Horses at that level are highly trained...it takes at least 6 years to bring a horse up to that caliber, and that's only if the horse is talented enough to do the required moves (most aren't). So..yeah it's dancing with horses but it does take quite a bit of work, talent and athleticism.
